Winnat's Pass

Winnat's Pass is said to be haunted by the ghosts of a young couple who were on their way to be married. After spending the night in the village the couple were waylaid on the Pass by a group of drunken miners, who robbed and then brutally murdered them. The ghosts of the couple are said to still wander the pass and they can sometimes be heard begging for their lives. As for the miners, well, none of them ever stood trial for the murder but each one of them died in rather unpleasant circumstances and the last one of them to die apparently confessed to the crime on his deathbed.
